It's actually a BIG rat. Giant even. But it does look very cute in its vest, blissfully sucking down its "flavorful snack."

our daughters had pet mice for quite awhile and we loved them. they are very smart and clean and sociable. i've also worked with a trained rat or two and they are also completely charming. go, rats!

Isn’t everyone in this regime totally disconnected from all the realities?

These MFers aren't concerned about the U.S. birth rate. They're concerned about the fact that we'll be a majority minority country by 2045. So, start popping them out, white ladies! Here, we'll give you the change we scrounged from the couch. Just maybe soak it in bleach before you collect it. That well-tufted beauty was J.D.'s favorite, and you know how excited he gets.

Honestly if they ship me out of the country on a Fulbright, I might consider having a baby. But I’m not coming back.

This is an excellent point. Ship me to another country and I’ll gladly have five more babies and co parent them with the ants who are very hard workers.

Just the fact that there’s government discussion to incentivize birth and the president wants to be “fertilization president” is SO Gilead. Of course we can’t have parental leave or universal preK or daycare. At 73, I feel lost in my own country.

I have rarely regretting menopause but the ‘fertilization President’ comment made me hoist a glass of Chardonnay to the fact that my ovaries have already turned off forever. I’ll deal with aches, pains, and the end of my fast metabolism just to avoid having a baby while that Orange Foolius and Couchfucker are in office.

Ugh. “RegreTTED.” Present perfect continuous tense. My head actually knows English grammar even if my fingers forget sometimes.

I thought this might be the dingus. Just reading that in the news made me glad I'm uteri-free. But apparently I'm in the "free babysitter" mode of life, hence I should give up my day job. I will say a teeny tiny ray of hope is that the young women in my writing class are choosing The Subversive Joy of Single Motherhood and Maternal Instinct is a Myth that Men Created by Chelsea Conaboy. They are finding the articles very, very interesting.

I remember that vacation feeling I had myself so clearly. I went on a trip when my kids were tweens, I think first kid free trip in a decade??, for a long weekend, and it was a revelation. I’d forgotten that my general disposition was happy and fun! Maybe I wasn’t depressed as much as parenting can really be a grind sometimes! After that I made it a priority to do at least once a year for my sanity.

Personally, I couldn’t be more excited for the help they’ll provide so that I, infertile, can rack up 4 more white babies!!! Wait, do they care of the kids are Jewish?

o lordy we were on the autobahn in southern Germany returning from Easter weekend with the family when the papal announcement came on the radio and I immediately said to my (rather German and absolutely not catholic) spouse: "Vance killed him."

Several years ago I read something about relationships with men that can get to a certain point where the "pussy pucker" occurs and there is no turning back! It predated the ich! This administration is full on pussy pucker!!
