So many good things! One more good thing is that since Valentine's Day has passed I think I'll be able to find Cadbury Mini Eggs, which are my preferred running fuel.
The grifter who has been ensorcelled by her own pitch -- aka full eligibility for a cabinet position in Orange Julius Caesar's next administration. Put it with the rest of her application materials?
More seriously, it's amazing that her 15 minutes aren't up already, but brazen self-unaware audacity counts for a lot (way too much) these days. It's not a great look for any of us.
I am so excited for you, so happy for your success, and so grateful to have found you. Your writing is swoon worthy and I share your column more often than not!
Anyone who’s excited about Beyoncé’s new album should check out her version of “Daddy Lessons” with The Chicks for the 2016 CMAs (read: she’s always been country):
I admire and cherish our public libraries in Georgia, knowing they operate cautiously yet splendidly in these what-not times, but they need to step up their library card game. Laser-eyed loons rule! Minnesota wins this round.
I got my book yesterday! Maybe the bookstore wasn't supposed to give it to me yet? (The receipt said "Release 2/20" at the top".) But they did! I haven't started reading yet because I've been texting a picture of it in my hand to all my girlfriends.
Thank you for ending the week with good things. We need to be reminded sometimes that it's not all bad news out there. I love that Beyonce is taking on the white misogyny of Nashville! I wish she and Taylor Swift would perform together.
I've got candidates for next week's Dingus - the idiots trying to take on Fani Willis. Her testimony yesterday was law school 101. She qualifies as a good thing, so there is some crossover. Beyonce's new song kicks ass, too.
This American Ex-Wife reestablishes Vinegar Valentines of years past-such a trend setter, Lyz. Can't wait to get my copy!! Have a grand, unsober weekend!
Caitlin Clark is magical but it’s a real shame that only two of Iowa’s four remaining games will be televised and they’ll be streaming on Peacock. She may beat the NCAA all-time scoring record. One that has stood for 54 years and ESPN or CBS can’t pick up these potentially historic games? For shame.
😂 But now Beyonce is busting through the door like a yeehaw Kool-Aid man.
Oh, yeah!

Oh my god. YES Easter has the best candy!
For anyone who has the good fortune not to know about Rachel Dolezal, aka Nkechi Diallo, I think Ijeoma Oluo wrote the best write-up of her ever:

Yes, this is the perfect comment.
Yes - the Dolezol thing took place near where I was in grad school, and the level of bamboozlement she perpetrated was astonishing.

Cheryl thank you!

She's always been and this is my favorite video on the internet

Everything in this post brought me so much joy. Plus the book tour!
I can almost TASTE your excited anticipation!
Lyz, you rule. That is all.
I preordered on Audible!
I hope you love listening to me talk for a few hours
I love hearing books read by the authors, they know the intonations!
Kk I have gasped twice and said OH MY GOD in the first 20 minutes. And fuck that therapist.

Reader, I squealed when Lyz popped up in my LATimes opinion section today!

The other two are televised and streaming on FS1 (Fox) or Fox Sports.
Stupid CBS Sports app lying to me. Thanks Lisa!
