Sunday Reads: 🍤 A Good Son, A Shrimp-Ordering Son 🍤
I read a lot and now it's your problem.
For the past two years, I’ve rounded up my weekly internet reads and put them in the body of the Friday newsletter. But it’s become a little cumbersome cramming everything into a Friday newsletter. It’s made them almost too long for Gmail. And honestly (no offense to the free subscribers, who are wonderful and lord knows there is a lot in this world to pay for) but paid subscribers deserve a few more treats than just the Monday thread.
So, welcome to the Sunday links! They’ll drop nice and early so you can read them while your kids watch Bluey or you drink your coffee and stare into the abyss. Or maybe they’ll help you fend off the Sunday scaries. I’ve always hated the term “Sunday scaries” because it’s a cloying term that makes our anxiety sound like a kids’ cartoon rather than the overwhelming sense of dread facing down another week of a post-capitalist hellscape.
